Nightfold is on the Doxford Estate, near Embleton. It's a one bedroom cottage for two people. It's got a 5 Star Gold rating, which just means it's been finished to a high standard. It's comfortable.
You walk into one open plan room. There's a wood burning stove and we leave you plenty of logs. The French doors open onto your own terrace, which gets the sun in the morning. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine.
The bedroom has a kingsize bed. It's also got a football table and an air hockey table in there, which is a bit different. There's a TV in there too. The bathroom has a walk-in shower.
Outside, you're right on the estate. It's a short walk down to Doxford Lake. You can sit by the water. The hall itself is about a fifteen minute walk if you fancy the spa or the restaurant.
Embleton Bay beach is about five minutes away by car. It's a good, long sandy beach. Craster is close, famous for kippers, and you can walk from there along the coast to Dunstanburgh Castle ruins. Bamburgh Castle is about a fifteen minute drive north. Holy Island is further north again, but you need to check the tide times for the causeway.
Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about twenty minutes inland. If you head south, Warkworth Castle is a similar drive.
Facilities: all bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. WiFi is included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. Sorry, no pets.
