This is Wellwood. It's a cottage conversion near Embleton, on the Doxford Estate. It's got two bedrooms and sleeps four. It's got that five star gold rating, which means the fixtures and finishes are to a high standard. It's comfortable.
The main thing is the space, especially if you've got children. There's a big, detached games room next to the cottage with an air hockey table and a football table. Outside, there's a shared playground area with swings and a football pitch. You can walk down to Doxford Lake from the cottage.
Inside, there's a wood burner and they supply the logs. The kitchen is well set up. Both bedrooms are super king size, but one can be made into twins if you ask. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bath.
Location wise, you're a couple of miles inland from the coast. Embleton beach is about six miles away. It's a good, sandy beach. There's a local pub within a mile. For a day out, Bamburgh Castle is about a twenty minute drive, and Alnwick Castle and Gardens are about half an hour away. The Northumberland National Park and Northumberland Coast AONB sites have good information for walks.
Included: all bedding and towels, wifi, parking right outside. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, cot and highchair. No pets allowed.
