Water Side
Water Side is in Falmouth, just up from the marina. It's a detached house, all on one level once you're inside. You get a sun deck out front with a table and chairs, and a barbecue. The view is straight out over the water, so you can watch the boats coming and going.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The parking is at the back, and there are about six stone steps up from there to the back door. There's also a small, self-contained flat under one end of the house, with its own entrance and a permanent tenant. You won't see them, but you might hear occasional footsteps.
You can walk into the centre of Falmouth in about ten minutes. It's a level walk past the Greenbank Hotel. The town has plenty of pubs and restaurants. The beaches at Gyllingvase and Swanpool are about a mile and a half away. They're south facing, so they get the sun.
From the town piers you can get ferries over to St Mawes, or up the river to places like Trelissick. The National Maritime Museum is down in Events Square. If you drive, you're well placed for the rest of Cornwall. The Lizard is about forty minutes south, and Penzance and St Ives are under an hour.
What's here: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the drive. No pets, sorry.
