Lamorran Lodge
Lamorran Lodge is in St Mawes, up the hill from the harbour. It's a bungalow, so everything's on one level, which is handy. You get the garden to yourself out the back.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, one double and one with twin beds. It's a 4 Star place, so it's nice and comfortable. The bathroom is a proper one with a bath, and there's also a shower in the ensuite off the twin room.
The best thing is you're right next to Lamorran House Gardens. You get free entry when you stay. They're really peaceful, full of all these tropical plants that shouldn't really grow here. It's a nice five minute wander to look around.
St Mawes itself is about a ten minute walk downhill. There's a small supermarket, a couple of pubs, bakeries, that sort of thing. You can get the foot ferry over to Falmouth from the harbour, which is much nicer than driving the long way round. The ferry to Truro is a good day out too.
There's on-site parking for one car. The garden is enclosed. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs. Bedding and towels are included, and there's a washing machine. We leave a highchair, cot and stairgate there for people who need them.
