Lamorran Lodge
Lamorran Lodge is in St Mawes, on the Roseland peninsula. It's a single-storey lodge, so everything is on the ground floor. This is good if you have older family members or just don't fancy stairs.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom and an ensuite shower to the twin room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not luxurious but everything is there and it works.
The main thing is the garden. You have a private bit at the back. But more importantly, it's right next to Lamorran Gardens. As a guest, you get free entry. They're subtropical gardens, quite unusual for here. It's very peaceful.
St Mawes village is about a ten minute walk downhill. It has the basics: a shop, a pub, a couple of places to eat. The foot ferry from the harbour goes to Falmouth, which is handy. You can leave the car.
For a proper beach day, Pendower or Carne Beach are about a fifteen minute drive. If you want to explore the coast, the South West Coast Path is all around you. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline here.
The facilities list is accurate. It has WiFi, a washing machine, parking for one car. You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
