Turnpike Cottage

Turnpike Cottage is in Gerrans Square, right opposite the Standard Inn pub and the church. It's a three-bedroom house that sleeps six. We've had it rated at 4 Stars, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.

There are three bathrooms, which is handy if you've got a full house. The kitchen and dining area is a good size. There's a wood burner in the living room for cooler evenings.

Across the road, there's a separate games room with a full-size table tennis table you can use. The garden is private but it's not huge, it's got a seating area. Parking is off-street on site.

You're about a five-minute walk down the hill to Portscatho harbour. There's a sandy beach there with rock pools when the tide's out. The village shop is well-stocked. There are a few places to eat, including the pub over the road.

Porthcurnick beach is just east of the village. It's dog friendly all year and has the Hidden Hut café above it. The coastal path runs right through here if you're walking.

The Roseland Peninsula is nice to explore. St Mawes is about a 15-minute drive. You can get the foot ferry from there to Falmouth if you fancy it. The National Trust's Trelissick Gardens are within half an hour.

For facilities, it’s all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher, cot, highchair, stairgate. Bedding and towels are included. We accept up to two well-behaved dogs.
