Turnpike Cottage is in Gerrans Square, just opposite the church and the Royal Standard pub. It's a good spot.
The cottage sleeps six. There are three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, which is unusual and handy. The kitchen is big and gets light from both sides.
You get a sun terrace out the front. Across the road, which is quiet, there's a separate building with a table football and a small table tennis table. There's also parking and a small, private garden over there.
It's a four star place. It's comfortable and clean, and feels more spacious than a lot of cottages.
Portscatho harbour is about a five minute walk downhill. It's a nice place to wander to. Rosevine beach is dog friendly all year. The sand is good and it's near The Hidden Hut café. Parking can get busy in summer.
The South West Coast Path runs through here, so the walking is excellent. For a longer trip, the National Trust Roseland page is useful. St Mawes is about a fifteen minute drive, and you can get the ferry over to Falmouth from there.
Facilities: it says luxury, which just means it's well done up. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and a wood burner. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. We have a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
