Lobster Pot
The Lobster Pot is in the middle of St Mawes. You get good views of the sea from the upstairs living room.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both downstairs. They each have their own bathroom with a shower. One's a double, the other has twin beds. The stairs go up to the main living area. They're not bad, but they are a bit narrow and steep, like a lot of places here.
You're a very short walk from the centre of the village. Summers Beach is about a hundred yards away. You can see the ferry pontoons from the house, so getting the boat over to Falmouth or up to Truro is easy. There's parking for one car right outside.
Upstairs is all one open plan room. Kitchen, dining area, and sitting area together. The main thing is the view out over the water. There's a patio door that opens onto a small balcony with a table and chairs. It gets the evening sun.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. Everything you need is included: bedding, towels, washing machine. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
From here, you can walk onto the South West Coast Path. The St Mawes Castle, which is English Heritage, is a short walk along the front. For a bigger day out, Falmouth is a fifteen minute ferry ride away. The Trelissick Garden, which is National Trust, is about a twenty minute drive up the river.
