Poldhu is in St Mawes, up a quiet cul-de-sac on a hill. It’s about an eight minute walk down into the village centre.
The main thing is the view. The whole garden looks out over the river, St Anthony’s Head, and towards The Lizard. It gets the sun.
The house sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of the double bedrooms has an en-suite. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s well looked after. The entrance door from the drive is heavy.
Inside, there’s a kitchen, a living room with a TV, and a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. The living room opens onto a big deck.
You can have up to two pets. The garden isn’t fully enclosed.
St Mawes has a few shops, places to eat, and a ferry. The ferry goes across to Falmouth. From Falmouth you can get a boat to Truro. It’s a nice way to travel.
For walking, you’ve got the coastal path right there. The Roseland peninsula is good for that. If you want a big beach, you’d drive towards The Lizard, maybe to Kennack Sands. That’s about half an hour.
Facilities: parking for one car on the drive. WiFi, TV with some streaming services, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a wood burner for cooler evenings.
