The Sea House

The Sea House is in Portscatho. It's set back a bit, just up from the village square. You can't really miss it because of the view. You get a proper look at the harbour and out to Dodman Point.

It's a three bedroom house and sleeps six. All three bedrooms have their own bathroom or shower room, which is handy. One bedroom is on the ground floor with twin beds. The main bedroom is upstairs and has a kingsize bed and an ensuite bathroom with a view. The other twin room is also upstairs.

You come in on the ground floor. There's a good porch for boots and coats. The living room, kitchen and dining area are all together on the lower ground floor. That's where the wood burner is. The kitchen is well fitted, with a proper dishwasher. You get a washing machine and a tumble dryer too.

The best bit is the terrace at the back. It's large and flagged. The patio doors open right out onto it. You can sit there and watch the sea. At high tide, it comes right up to the wall.

The village square is about a hundred yards away. There's a shop, a butcher, a pub, a restaurant and a couple of art galleries. It's a five minute walk.

For a bigger shop, St Mawes is about ten minutes by car. The National Trust's Trelissick Garden is about a twenty minute drive up the river. The Glendurgan Garden is about the same. Truro is just under half an hour if you need a city.

Parking is on site. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi. No pets, sorry.
