Polvarth Cottage

Polvarth Cottage is in St Mawes. It's right in the middle of the village, about a minute's walk from the seafront.

It sleeps six, across three bedrooms. Two are downstairs and one is upstairs. There are two bathrooms, one is an en-suite to the main bedroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The layout is reversed, so the living space is on the first floor to get the views. The stairs inside are a typical cottage staircase.

The kitchen has what you need: electric oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer. There's a washing machine in the family bathroom. Bedding and towels are included. You get WiFi and a TV. There's a cot and a highchair if you're bringing a baby.

Outside, there's a little seating area at the front by the porch to watch the harbour. At the back, up some steps from a bedroom, there's an elevated terrace with a table and chairs. The view from up there is good.

St Mawes itself has everything: a shop, a butcher, a baker, pubs, restaurants. It's all on your doorstep. There are three beaches here. You can get foot ferries from the quay across to Place or over to Falmouth.

For walking, you're on the South West Coast Path straight away. The National Trust's Trebah Garden is about a twenty-minute drive. Trerice is around half an hour away if you like old houses. Falmouth, with its maritime museum and bigger town facilities, is a short ferry ride or a thirty-minute drive. Truro is about forty minutes by car.

No pets, sorry.
