Polvarth Cottage is in the middle of St Mawes. It's a traditional double-fronted place, basically right on the front. You can see the harbour from the front windows.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a reversed layout cottage, so the living area is upstairs to make the most of the view. The stairs are quite normal.
You're a few seconds from the sea. The village has everything: a supermarket, butcher, baker, a few pubs and restaurants. The foot ferry from the quay goes over to Falmouth, which is useful.
There are three beaches here. You can hire canoes or fishing boats. For walking, the Roseland Peninsula paths are right there. The National Trust Cornwall page is good for planning.
Inside, it's as described. The kitchen has an electric oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer. There's a washing machine and dryer in the family bathroom. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
Outside, there's a little seating area at the front by the porch. Up some steps at the back there's a terrace with a table. It's elevated, so you get a good view over the roofs.
If you want to go further, Falmouth is a short ferry ride. Truro is about a 30-minute drive. The Visit Cornwall site has general information.
