Riverside Cottage

Riverside Cottage is just outside Coombe, on the Fal estuary. It's for two people. We've had it since 2010 and we've kept it up to date.

It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped, but it's still a cottage. You look straight out at the creek. It's tidal here, so the view changes completely throughout the day. Sometimes it's full of water, sometimes it's mudflats. It's interesting to watch.

There's one bedroom with a double bed. The bathroom has both a roll-top bath and a separate walk-in shower. The living room has a wood burner. There's a modern kitchen with a dishwasher, and a utility room with a washing machine.

Outside, there's an enclosed garden that's just for you. It's got a patio area and a barbecue. You can park right next to the cottage.

You can bring up to two dogs. We provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included, and there's Wi-Fi and satellite TV.

The cottage is on the Tregothnan Estate. There are footpaths from the door for walks along the creek. It's a very central spot in Cornwall. Truro is about ten minutes away for shops and supermarkets.

For the coast, you're well placed. The King Harry Ferry is nearby to cross to the Roseland Peninsula. Falmouth and St Mawes are a short drive. The north coast, like Newquay for surfing or Padstow, is about half an hour by car. You can be on a south coast beach or a north coast one in roughly the same time.

Useful links for planning: National Trust Cornwall and Cornwall Council Countryside for walking, and Roseland Heritage for information about the peninsula.
