Fuchsia Cottage is in St Mawes, up one of the steep little streets behind the harbour. It's a traditional fisherman's cottage, so it's not big, but it's updated inside and feels cosy.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms. One is a decent sized double with a king size bed, the other is small with a single. One bathroom, which is on the ground floor. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious.
The stairs are the main thing to know. They're the original cottage stairs, so they're quite steep. Not great for anyone with mobility issues. The courtyard garden out the back gets the sun in the morning. There's one parking space, just a short walk from the door.
In the village, you've got a couple of beaches, both within easy walking distance. The water's clean for swimming. There are some good places to eat and a few shops. The castle is worth a look, it's an English Heritage site with good views over the coast. You can book tennis courts at the recreation ground if you fancy it.
Ferries run from the harbour over to Falmouth, which is about a 20 minute trip. From Falmouth you can get a train if you want to explore further. The Roseland Peninsula is beautiful for walking. The National Trust gardens at Glendurgan are about a 25 minute drive.
Facilities: everything's included - bedding, towels, Wi-Fi. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
