Bellas Mouse is in Penryn, a couple of minutes' walk from the train station. The town centre is the same, just a short walk. It's an old granite cottage on a hill near the water.
It sleeps eight people in the main house and a separate annexe. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's full of character, which means it's not a modern box. The walls are thick and curved. Some of the doorways are low. You will probably bang your head at least once.
The stairs inside are quite steep. There are also little steps between some of the rooms downstairs. The garden is terraced, so it's on different levels with steps. The lane up to the cottage, Shute Lane, is steep and narrow like a lot of Cornish streets.
You can park one small car right by the cottage to unload. For proper parking, there's a garage up the lane. A second small car can fit outside it. The garage is useful for bikes or wetsuits. There's a hose to rinse things off.
The garden is private and you get a view of the estuary from it. There are a few pubs and places to eat in Penryn, including a good fish and chip shop. Falmouth is about a mile away. You can get the train or the bus. It's very easy.
Facilities: everything you'd expect is there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, a wood burner. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a stairgate. You can bring up to two dogs.
If you're planning days out, the National Trust in Cornwall site is useful. For the local area, Visit Falmouth has good information. The ferry from Falmouth to St Mawes is a nice trip.
