This is Camellia Cottage, in St Mawes. It's on quite a steep bit of the hill. The harbour and beaches are a few minutes' walk down from here. It takes a little longer to come back up, obviously. It's a good position, because you get the view.
It's a 4 Star place, sleeps six, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. There's a wet room on the ground floor, which we put in for my aunt, but it's handy for anyone really.
The garden at the front is enclosed. You can sit out there and look at the harbour and the water. Inside, there's a woodburning stove in the sitting room. It makes it nice and warm. We've put in wifi and a TV. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher included.
You don't really need your car here. There's a shop, and places to eat, and the beach is all walking distance. There's a passenger ferry from the harbour that goes over to Falmouth, and you can get other boats around the estuary. For a proper sandy beach, you'd drive over to the St Anthony headland, which is about ten minutes away.
If you're walking, the South West Coast Path is right there. You can just start walking from the cottage. For days out, the National Trust looks after some bits of the coast nearby, like the headland. Their website is a good place to check.
