Carrick Lodge
Carrick Lodge is near St Mawes, on the Trewince Manor park. It's a Scandinavian style lodge, so it's modern and clean-lined. It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, one's an en-suite.
The main thing is the view. You look right out over the sea from the front balcony. Gets the sunrise. The decked area outside has furniture and gets the sun most of the day.
Inside is open plan. Kitchen, dining, living area all in one room. It's well-equipped. TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.
The stairs up from the parking space are quite steep, just so you know.
You get access to the swimming pool complex on the site, which has a pool, jacuzzi and sauna. You need to book a time slot through Trewince reception, and it's best to check it's open before you come.
The lodge is about five minutes in the car from Portscatho. That's got a shop, bakery, butchers, a pub and a restaurant. There are a few sandy beaches nearby. The South West Coast Path is close if you want to walk.
St Mawes itself is a short drive for the castle and the ferry over to Falmouth. The Roseland peninsula is good for exploring. The National Trust has a few properties around here if that's your thing.
You can bring two dogs.
