Carrick Lodge
Carrick Lodge is a modern place in St Mawes, Cornwall. It's on the Trewince Manor park. The main thing is the view, which is straight out to sea over Towan Beach. You can see the sunrise from the front balcony.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. One bathroom is an en-suite off the double room. There are two twin rooms as well. The rating is 3 Star, so it's comfortable and clean.
You get access to the swimming pool, sauna, and jacuzzi on the Trewince Manor site. You need to book a slot through their reception when you get there, and it's wise to check it's all running before you arrive.
Outside, there's a decked area with furniture. It gets the sun most of the day. You have to go up some steps from the parking space to get to it.
Inside is all open plan: living room, dining, kitchen. The view from there is the same as from the deck. It's got what you'd expect: TV, settees, a dining table, and a kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine.
St Mawes itself is about a five minute drive. It's got shops, a couple of pubs, and places to eat. For a bigger shop or more options, you'd go to Truro. That's about a 25 minute drive.
The South West Coast Path is right there if you want to walk. There are a few sandy beaches nearby too, like Towan Beach which you look over.
Pets are allowed, up to two.
