Spindrift

Spindrift is in St Mawes, up above the village a bit. It's a house, not a cottage. It sleeps eight, across five bedrooms. Three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating.

The main thing is the view. You look right out across the water to St Anthony's Head and The Lizard. The big room where you cook, eat, and sit has large windows facing the sea. There's a door out to a balcony with a table.

The kitchen has what you need: hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, and a big fridge. There's a separate utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, and a freezer.

Three bedrooms are on the ground floor. The main one has a kingsize bed and looks out at the sea. There's a single and a double bedroom there too. Also on that floor is a wet room with underfloor heating and two separate toilets.

A short flight of stairs up takes you to the first floor. There are two more bedrooms up there, a twin and a single. They share a Jack and Jill bathroom, which has a shower over the bath. Those rooms have patio doors to a patio.

The garden is large and slopes. It's well looked after. There's a patio area with an ornamental pond. A path leads from the garden down to Lower Castle Road. It's relatively steep, but it gets you straight to the Tresanton Tavern Beach and the rest of the village in a few minutes.

You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot and a highchair if needed. There's a TV, a barbecue, and parking.

The local pub is the Tresanton Tavern, down by the beach. From the house, you're well placed for walking the coast path or getting the ferry over to Falmouth. The St Anthony's Head lighthouse is a good walk. For a day out, The Lizard peninsula is about a 30 minute drive. The Trengwainton Garden is roughly the same, near Penzance.
