Spindrift is in St Mawes. It's a house that sleeps eight, which is why it's quite big. You look straight out at the sea, over to St Anthony's Head and The Lizard. The view is really something.
It's got five bedrooms and three bathrooms. The main living area is all open plan, so it's good for a group. Big windows mean you get the view from inside. There's a door out to a balcony with a table.
The kitchen has what you'd need: hob, oven, dishwasher, big fridge. There's a utility room too, with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Three bedrooms are on the ground floor. The main one has a kingsize bed and a sea view. There's also a double and a single on that floor, plus a wet room. Up a short flight of stairs are two more bedrooms, a twin and a single, that share a bathroom.
The garden is large and slopes. There's a patio with a pond, so just be aware if you have young children. From the garden, a path leads down to Lower Castle Road. It's relatively steep in parts, but it gets you to the Tresanton Tavern beach and the village easily.
The house has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. We include bedding and towels. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking on site.
St Mawes itself is lovely. You can get the ferry across to Falmouth, which is a nice trip. For a big day out, you're close to the National Trust's Trelissick Garden and Glendurgan Garden. The Roseland Peninsula walk is right on the doorstep.
