Shoal Corner is a house in St Mawes, on the Roseland Peninsula. It sleeps eight in four bedrooms. It has three bathrooms. It's got the top rating, so everything is new and high-spec.
The layout is upside down to catch the view. You come in on the ground floor to three bedrooms and two bathrooms. There's a twin room with its own shower room and doors to the garden, a double, and a bunk room. The stairs are normal.
Upstairs is the living area, kitchen, and the main bedroom. The big sliding doors in the living room open onto a deck. The view is over the water towards Falmouth. The kitchen has everything you'd need, and there's a utility room with a washing machine, dryer, and an extra shower. That's useful for coming in from the beach.
The main bedroom is up here too, off the living area. It has its own shower room, wardrobes, the same water views, and a door out to the terrace.
Outside, there's a sunny deck right off the living room. Steps go down to a patio and then a terraced lawn. There's a barbecue. To the side, there's space to store kayaks or paddleboards if you bring them.
St Mawes itself is a steep little harbour village. There are two nice beaches within walking distance, one on either side of the harbour. The water is sheltered and good for swimming. There's a sailing club and you can hire tennis courts. It has restaurants, shops, and a few galleries.
You can get the ferry from the harbour straight over to Falmouth. The National Trust's Trelissick garden is about a twenty-minute drive. For a proper coastal walk, the Roseland Peninsula path is right there. The very pretty church at St Just in Roseland is only a couple of miles away.
Facilities: parking on site, WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
