The Old Smithy is in Penelewey, a small place just outside Feock in Cornwall. It's a detached house, so no one attached to either side. You get your own space.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. That’s useful. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-finished. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
The house is on the road down to the King Harry ferry. That takes you over to the Roseland Peninsula, so St Mawes and that side are easy to get to. Truro is about five minutes away by car if you need shops or a supermarket.
Falmouth is about fifteen minutes away. It's a proper working port. The National Maritime Museum is there if that's your sort of thing. The town has a lot of places to eat, especially around the harbour. Gyllyngvase Beach in Falmouth is good, it's got a nice stretch of sand.
For gardens, Trelissick is just a mile or so down the road. You can walk there along the creek if you're feeling energetic. National Trust Trelissick Garden. Trebah and Glendurgan are over near the Helford River. The Eden Project and Heligan are both within a half hour drive.
There's a pub about 500 yards away. It serves food. The village of Devoran, which is along the creek, also has a couple of places. The cycle trail starts there, it goes right across Cornwall to the north coast. You can hire bikes locally.
Facilities: it’s got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. Parking for at least two cars on the drive. The garden is enclosed.
