Bay View

Bay View is in Portscatho on the Roseland. It's a three-bedroom house that sleeps six. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.

The main thing is the view. You can see the sea from the front, especially from the bunk room upstairs. It's about a five-minute walk down to Porthcurnick beach. It's a sandy beach, good for families. The Hidden Hut cafe is there, which is popular.

Portscatho village is a few minutes walk the other way. There's a pub, a shop, a cafe, that sort of thing. It's a proper Cornish fishing village, not too big.

The house itself has two bathrooms, which is useful. One is a shower room downstairs, which is good for coming back from the beach. There's a wood burner in the living room. The French doors open onto a terrace. It gets the sun in the evening.

The stairs are fine. The bunk room has those views I mentioned. The other two bedrooms are a good size. All bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the drive.

For days out, St Mawes is about ten miles. You can get the ferry from there over to Falmouth. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a 25-minute drive. The Eden Project is about 45 minutes away, depending on traffic.

Facilities: it has WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a BBQ. No pets, sorry.
