Ty Gwyn is in Portscatho, across from the village square. It's a Cornish cottage, but it's been done up inside. You're basically in the middle of the village, about a minute's walk from everything.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms upstairs, two bathrooms. You can bring one dog. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and has everything you need.
The main room is the kitchen and dining area. It's a good size, with doors out to the courtyard. The kitchen has what you'd expect. There's a separate utility room with the washing machine. The living room looks out over the square and you can see the sea from it. There's also a small snug room with a wood burner. It's a good spot for a bit of quiet.
The stairs are normal. The bedrooms are straightforward. One double and two twins. One of the twins has a sea view. There are pegs on the walls for clothes, not a wardrobe.
The best bit is probably the courtyard. It's south facing, gets the sun, and is completely private. There's a table, chairs, and a barbecue out there.
For the beach, Tatum's is literally two minutes down the hill. Porthcurnick beach, which is sandy, is about a ten minute walk. The South West Coast Path runs right past the village. You can walk to St Mawes one way or around to Nare Head the other.
For a day out, Truro is about half an hour's drive. The Trelissick Garden is on the way there. St Mawes Castle, which is English Heritage, is a short ferry ride from Place, which is ten minutes drive away.
What's here: Wifi, TV, wood burner, dishwasher, washing machine, bedding and towels are included, parking for one car right outside. The local pub is in the square.
