The White House
The White House is in St Mawes. It's a few minutes walk from the harbour and the beach is just across the road.
It sleeps nine people in five bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. The rating is four star.
The main thing is the view. You can see the castle, the harbour, and straight out over the bay from the front rooms. There's a balcony to sit on. It's a good spot to watch the boats.
The garden is at the back. It's private. There's a big lawn, a patio, a table, and a gas barbecue.
You can take up to two dogs.
The facilities are what you'd expect: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. We've put in an electric vehicle charger.
St Mawes itself is small. You can walk to everything from the house: shops, a couple of pubs, restaurants, and the sailing club. You can get boat hire and fishing trips from the harbour. The ferry to Falmouth goes from there, too.
Within about half an hour's drive you've got the Roseland peninsula for walking, or you can go over to Falmouth. The National Trust's Trelissick is nearby.
