The Old Coach Garage

The Old Coach Garage is in Gerrans, on the Roseland. It used to be a garage, obviously. Now it's a detached house for four people.

There are two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. One's downstairs. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's new and everything works. I put in an electric car charger, solar panels, and underfloor heating. It's warm.

The main room is open plan with big doors that open onto the garden. The garden looks out over fields. There's a wood burner for the evenings. Outside, there's a heated shower for rinsing off wetsuits or sandy feet. There's space round the side for surfboards and kayaks.

The village has a pub, The Royal Standard, about a minute's walk away. They do food. The coast path is close by for walks. Portscatho is the nearest proper beach, about a mile and a half.

St Mawes is a ten minute drive. It's a nice village on the water. You can get boat trips from there, or take your car across on the King Harry Ferry to go towards Falmouth. The castle at St Mawes is English Heritage.

Truro is about seven miles. That's where the cathedral and most of the shops are. Falmouth is a bit further, maybe twenty five minutes by car. It's got the Maritime Museum and a busy harbour.

Facilities: parking for one car, WiFi, dishwasher, washing machine, all bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
