This is Castle Cottage in Ruan Lanihorne. It's named after Lanihorne Castle, which used to be right here.
Sleeps six, three bedrooms, one bathroom. It has that 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after, but not a show home. It's a proper Cornish cottage, so mind your head on a couple of the doorways. You get parking for three cars, which is handy. The patio at the back is enclosed.
The living room has a wood burner. It works well. Kitchen is a good size, has a stable door out to the patio. Everything you'd need is there: washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi. Towels and bedding are included, and there's a cot and highchair.
You're right in the Roseland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The lane leads straight down to the creek in a couple of minutes. Good for wildlife.
Portscatho and Gerrans are close by, nice little fishing villages. St Mawes is about a 20 minute drive. You've got St Mawes Castle there, which is English Heritage. Good for a look around. The ferry from St Mawes over to Falmouth is a nice trip.
If you want to go further, the National Trust has a lot of places around here, like Trelissick Garden. That's within half an hour. Truro is about 25 minutes for bigger shops.
No pets, sorry. The patio is enclosed but the main garden isn't fully fenced from the lane.
