The Hut
The Hut is in Carne, near Veryan on the Roseland peninsula. It's a bungalow, so everything's on one level. That's good if stairs are a problem. You get the whole garden to yourself.
It sleeps four. Three bedrooms, but one of them has bunk beds. There's one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is spot on. It's comfortable and clean.
The main thing is the position. It's up on the cliff. You can see the sea from the front bedrooms. It's quiet here. Carne Beach is about a ten minute walk down the hill. When the tide's out, you can walk for miles along the sand towards Portscatho.
There's a multi-fuel stove if you want a fire. The patio gets the sun most of the day. There's a BBQ and garden furniture. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.
You can take up to two dogs. Parking is on site.
Portloe is a few minutes' drive. It's a proper old fishing village. Veryan is close too, famous for its round houses. For a bigger trip, St Mawes is about twenty minutes away. The National Trust has Tregrehan Garden nearby, and the Roseland Peninsula page is good for walk ideas.
