The Boathouse
The Boathouse is in St Mawes, right on the Percuil River. It used to be a sail loft. It's for two people. You get a bedroom and a bathroom upstairs.
The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the river to Place Manor and the harbour. You can sit on the balcony or inside and watch the boats go by. There are often birds on the water.
It's a four star place. It's comfortable and well kept. The owners use the slipway in front and the ground floor sometimes, so you might see them. It's not a problem, but I'm mentioning it so you know.
If you're bringing a boat, you can. There's a private slipway. They have two moorings for boats up to 20 feet, but you need to ask about those in advance. You can also hire a little rowing dinghy from them.
St Mawes itself is a five or ten minute walk along the front. There are shops, a couple of pubs, places to eat. The ferry to Falmouth goes from the harbour. It's a good way to get across without driving.
For a sandy beach, you're about a ten minute walk from one. The coastal path is right there if you want to walk. You can get to the National Trust gardens at Glendurgan in about twenty minutes by car. Truro is about half an hour away.
What's here: WiFi, TV, a washing machine, bedding and towels are included. There's parking. You can bring up to two dogs. The patio area is enclosed.
