Brigids Patch is in St Mawes. It's a holiday cottage, up the hill from the harbour. It sleeps six, across three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms.
It was redone a few years ago. It's spacious inside, which you might not guess from the front. The garden is south-facing and private, with a deck and terrace. You get a good view of the sea and the river from there, looking out towards St Anthony's Lighthouse. The garden is decent sized.
It's a four-star place. That means it's comfortable, well looked after. It's got central heating and a wood burner, so it's fine for winter breaks too. You can walk down to the village in about ten minutes. The shops, pubs, and the ferry are all there.
The stairs are normal stairs. There's parking for one car on the drive. You can bring up to two dogs.
You're a few minutes' walk from Lamorran Gardens. St Mawes Castle is about five minutes down the hill. The views from there over Carrick Roads are good. You can pick up the coastal path from the cottage itself. One walk goes north to St Just in Roseland, which has that famous churchyard by the water. It takes about three quarters of an hour.
For beaches, you've got Summers Beach just below. It's more of a cove. For a bigger sandy beach, you'd drive to Place, Pendower, or Carne. They're all within about twenty minutes.
Falmouth is a fifteen-minute ferry ride from St Mawes quay. You can get the ferry over and back in a day easily. The St Mawes Castle page has the history if you're interested. For walking ideas, the National Trust Cornwall site is useful.
Facilities: there's wifi, a TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are provided. There's a cot and a stairgate if you need them. We leave a BBQ out for the summer.
