Foretop
Foretop is a house up the hill from St Just in Roseland. It's new. You look out over fields and a bit of the creek.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, all doubles. One can be two singles. They each have their own bathroom, which is handy. The main bedroom faces the water.
Downstairs is mostly one big room for the kitchen, dining and sitting area. The doors open onto a big patio. There's a smaller room off the hall. We call it the snug. It's got a TV. Good if kids want to watch something different.
Outside, there's a raised bit with a table for eating. Then steps down to more garden. It's paved, with some shrubs. Not a huge lawn, but enough space. You can park two, maybe three cars right by the gate.
The church at St Just is a five minute walk down the lane. It's famous for its garden. The creek there is very quiet. For a shop or a pasty, you need to drive to St Mawes. That's about five minutes.
The beach at Towan is about two miles. It's mainly sailing there. For swimming, you'd go to Pendower beach, or somewhere off the Lizard. That's a longer drive.
The King Harry ferry is ten minutes away. That's how you get across to Falmouth or go towards the Lizard without going all the way to Truro.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's well finished. Everything is included: bedding, towels, wifi, the electricity. There's a wood burner. We allow two dogs.
