Rachel's Lodge
Rachel's Lodge is in Carnon Downs, about five miles outside Truro. It's one of three lodges here, right by the car park and reception.
The lodge sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. The park itself has about 20 acres of grounds to walk around. There's a kids' play area and a café and wine bar at the reception building.
You can walk from the site down to the River Fal and the creek. The villages of Penpol and Devoran are close by. If you bring bikes, the Bissoe Trail runs right along the edge of the park. You can hire biking equipment locally for that, or for the Camel Trail.
Truro is about a twenty minute drive. It's a proper city with all the shops. Falmouth is eight miles away. It's good for a wander around the harbour and the Maritime Museum. For a bigger day out, the Eden Project is about forty minutes by car.
There are lots of famous gardens nearby, like Trebah and Heligan. The coast is close. For beaches and water sports, you've got places like Praa Sands, or Loe Beach in Truro.
In the lodge, there's a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right next to it. Bedding and towels are included. We can take up to two pets. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
