This is Rachel's Lodge. It's in Carnon Downs, near Truro. One of three lodges here, so the others are close by. You park right next to it.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which helps. It has a 3 Star rating. Everything's clean and works, but it's not a show home. The site has about 20 acres of gardens to walk around. There's a play area for kids, a launderette, and a café that's also a wine bar at reception.
You can walk from the lodge down to the River Fal and the creek. The hamlets of Penpol and Devoran are close. If you bring bikes, the Bissoe Trail starts nearby. You can also hire bikes to do the Camel Trail.
Useful things: it has a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. We accept up to two pets.
Truro is about ten minutes by car. It's good for shopping and has plenty of places to eat. Falmouth is about eight miles away. You've got the maritime museum there and lots of restaurants along the harbour.
For days out, the main gardens are all within half an hour. Trebah, Glendurgan, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are easy to get to. There are plenty of coves and beaches too. If you want watersports, Loe Beach near Truro has equipment and tuition.
Further afield, the Eden Project is about a 40-minute drive. Adrenalin Quarry, for more active stuff, is about the same.
