The Lodge
The Lodge is here in Carnon Downs. It's one of three lodges on a site that's just by the reception. You park right next to it.
It sleeps six. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. The rating is 3 Star, so it's clean and everything works, but don't expect anything luxury. You can bring one dog.
The park itself has about 20 acres of gardens you can walk around. There's a kids' play area, a laundry, and a café and wine bar at the reception building. You can walk from here down to the River Fal and the creek, and to the little places called Penpol and Devoran.
If you bring bikes, the Bissoe Trail is right here. You can hire bikes and other stuff too. The Camel Trail isn't far away either.
Truro is about ten minutes by car. It's good for shops and cafés, and it's a proper city. Falmouth is eight miles, so maybe twenty minutes. There's the Maritime Museum there and a lot of places to eat.
For a big day out, the Eden Project is about forty minutes' drive. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a bit closer, maybe half an hour. You've also got Trebah and Glendurgan gardens nearby if you like that sort of thing.
The coast is close. There are plenty of beaches and coves to choose from. For water sports, Loe Beach in Truro does equipment and lessons. If you want something faster, Adrenalin Quarry is up past Liskeard.
Inside, it's open plan. The facilities include WiFi, parking, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are provided. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
