The Lodge is in Carnon Downs, near Truro. It's one of three lodges here, set near the reception. You park right next to it.
It sleeps six. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean without being showy. You can bring one dog.
The site has about 20 acres of grounds to walk around. There's a kids' play area and a café wine bar at reception. You can walk from here down to the River Fal.
It's a good spot if you have bikes. The Bissoe Trail starts nearby for cycling. You can hire equipment there too.
Truro is about ten minutes by car. It's good for shopping or if you need a bigger supermarket. Falmouth is about eight miles away. The Maritime Museum there is worth a visit.
For a day out, the National Trust's Trelissick is close by. The famous gardens like Trebah and Glendurgan are within half an hour, as is the Lost Gardens of Heligan. The Eden Project is about a 40 minute drive.
You're well placed for beaches. The south coast ones like Porthtowan or Gwithian are about twenty minutes. For something calmer, try the Helford River creeks.
Included in the lodge: WiFi, all bedding and towels, a cot and a highchair. Parking is right outside.
