The Nook is on our small farm near Stithians. It's a ground floor apartment, so it's all on one level which is handy. It sleeps two people in one bedroom.
It's part of a group of cottages here, seven in total, so there are other guests around but you get your own space. The place is set in four acres, so there's room to wander. We try to run things in an eco-friendly way.
Inside, it's got the 3 Star rating. It means it's clean, comfortable and everything works, but it's not luxury. You've got a bathroom, a sitting area with TV, and a kitchenette. The WiFi usually works fine. There's a washing machine and bedding is included. We can provide a cot if you need one.
You can bring two dogs. There's a shared garden area with a BBQ and a kids' play area. Parking is right outside.
For the local area, Stithians Lake is about ten minutes by car. They do fishing and windsurfing. There's a nice circular walk around it too. Kennal Vale nature reserve is even closer, maybe two miles. It's an old gunpowder works that's gone back to nature now.
Truro is a 20 minute drive. That's where you'll find the cathedral, decent shops, and a lot more places to eat. In the other direction, Falmouth is about half an hour. That's where the big harbour is, the maritime museum, and some good beaches like Gyllyngvase.
