Coombe End Cottage is ours, in Carnkie. It's detached and secluded, up in the hills. You can see right out to the north and south coasts on a clear day, which is nice.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom, which is handy. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and comfortable but not luxury. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they turn a corner and are a bit steep.
Outside, there's a patio and garden that's just for you. You get parking right there. Inside, there's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings, a washing machine, wifi, and a TV. We include the bedding. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
The area is very rural. You'll see old tin mine engine houses in the fields around, which is part of the history here. There's a pub about a mile away. The nearest shop is a five minute drive.
Portreath beach is about four miles for sand and surf. For golf, Tehidy Park is three miles. You can go horse riding locally. The A30 is easy to get to, so getting around is straightforward.
Within half an hour you can drive to Truro, Falmouth, St Ives, or Newquay. Penzance is about the same. The Eden Project takes around forty-five minutes.
