Coombe End Cottage is in Carnkie, which is inland. It's detached, so no neighbours on the other side of a wall. You get the garden and patio to yourselves. The views are good: you can see both the north and south coasts from here.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's a 3 Star place. That means it's clean and comfortable, not luxurious. The main thing is it's private and quiet.
You're up in the hills, so it feels a bit tucked away. You can see old engine houses from the tin mining around the fields. It's proper Cornish countryside.
There's a shop about five minutes drive away. The nearest pub is a mile down the road. For a beach, Portreath is about four miles. It's sandy. Tehidy golf course is three miles. If you want a swim out of the sea, there's a leisure centre with a pool not far.
You're quite central for driving around. The A30 is easy to get to. You can get to Truro, Falmouth, St Ives, or Newquay in under half an hour. Penzance and The Eden Project are a bit further, maybe three quarters of an hour's drive.
Facilities: there's a woodburning stove for cooler nights, a washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding is included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
