Maple Barn is in Mawla. It's a quiet spot a little way inland from the north coast. The barn is detached. You get your own space.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. We live on the same site, so we're around if you need anything, but you won't see us unless you want to.
The place has been done up. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside.
You're about a ten minute drive from the beaches at Portreath and Porthtowan. They're good for surfing. The coastal path is very close if you want a walk. The old mineral tramway path runs past the edge of the property, which is good for cycling or a flat walk.
St Ives is about twenty minutes away by car. You can also get the train from St Erth station, which is a scenic route along the coast. Hayle has a long beach and sand dunes, and that leads up to Godrevy Lighthouse. You sometimes see seals there.
For a day out, Falmouth has the maritime museum and Pendennis Castle. The National Trust has a lot of properties and coast around here. The Cornwall National Landscape site has details on walks.
There's a shop and a pub in the village, about a mile and a half away. They're fine for basics and a meal.
