Maple Barn
This is Maple Barn. It's a detached barn conversion in Mawla. Mawla's a small hamlet, it's quiet. You'll see our house from the driveway, but the barn is all yours. It's got its own garden.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The living space is all on the ground floor, which is useful. There's a games room in a separate outbuilding with a pool table and table tennis. That's for guests to use.
The facilities are straightforward: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. There's parking right outside. No pets, sorry.
You're about a mile and a half from the coast. Portreath and Porthtowan are the nearest beaches, they've got good sand and surf hire. For walking, you're practically on the Coast to Coast Mineral Tramway. The National Trust coastal path is very close too.
St Ives is about a twenty minute drive. You can get the coastal train from St Erth if you'd rather not park. Hayle has a long beach and the dunes lead towards Godrevy lighthouse. Gwithian is good for a walk, sometimes you see seals.
Further afield, within half an hour or so, you've got Falmouth for the harbour and castle, Tehidy Country Park for woodland walks, and lots of National Trust gardens like Trengwainton.
