Oak Barn

This is Oak Barn, in Mawla, Cornwall. It's one of Frisian Valley Cottages. We live on site, so we're around if you need anything.

The barn sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well equipped. The layout is open plan downstairs.

You've got your own patio and garden area. There's on site parking. Inside, there's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. There's a shower. We've also got a games room on the site that all the guests can use. There's a highchair if you need one. Sorry, no pets.

Mawla itself is a quiet hamlet. The coast is about a mile and a half drive. Portreath and Porthtowan are the closest beaches. You can hire surf gear there.

For walking, you're very close to the National Trust coastal path. The Coast to Coast Mineral Tramway cycle path is literally just down the lane. You can hire bikes nearby.

Within about half an hour you can drive to St Ives. You can get the scenic train from St Erth station if you'd prefer. Hayle has a long beach that leads up to Godrevy lighthouse. Falmouth is about a 30 minute drive for the harbour and Pendennis Castle. Tehidy Country Park is good for woodland walks.
