This is Oak Barn. It's one of a few cottages here in Mawla, which is a little hamlet inland from the north coast. It's quiet. The owners live on site too, so if you need anything, they're there.
The barn sleeps five. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It's open plan downstairs.
You've got your own patio and garden area. There's a shared games room as well, with table tennis and things like that. It's useful if the weather turns. Parking is right outside.
For facilities, there's a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a highchair. No pets, sorry.
Location wise, you're about a mile and a half from the shop and pub in Illogan. They're fine. For a proper beach, Portreath is about ten minutes in the car. Porthtowan is similar. Good for surfing.
For walking, you're very close to the Coast to Coast Mineral Tramway path. The National Trust coastal path isn't far either. If you fancy the south coast, Falmouth is about half an hour's drive. You've got the castle and the maritime museum there.
The train from St Erth into St Ives is worth doing. It's a scenic run right along the edge of the sea. St Ives gets busy, but it's a nice trip.
