The Old Dairy is on our farm in Mount Hawke. It's a single-storey place, so everything's on one level. We converted it from the old milking parlour a few years back.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom with a shower. The rating is 4 Star. It's clean and comfortable. It's got a woodburning stove for the evenings, which is nice when it gets chilly. There's a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included.
You've got your own enclosed patio garden. It faces south-west, so you get the afternoon sun. You can hear the animals sometimes, sheep mostly. It's a working farm, so you might see a tractor go past. The lane is private, so there's not much traffic.
You're about a mile and a half from Porthtowan beach. It's sandy, good for surfing. There's a saltwater pool there too. St Agnes is the same sort of distance. That's a proper Cornish village with shops and pubs.
The coast path is easily accessible for walks. Perranporth beach is about four miles away for more surfing. Truro is eight miles if you need the city or a big supermarket.
The Eden Project is roughly a 20-minute drive. For planning days out, these sites are helpful: National Trust Cornwall and Visit Cornwall.
In the village, Mount Hawke, there's a shop and a florist. The pub is about a mile and a half walk. There's parking right outside the cottage.
No pets, I'm afraid. The garden isn't really set up for it.
