This is Elm. It's one of our cottages in Mawla. A quiet little spot inland from the north coast.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star, which pretty much means it's been done up nicely. You can bring one dog.
The living area is open plan. There's a patio with a table and chairs out the back. We provide all the bedding and towels. You've got a washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside.
There's a shared games room on site too, with a pool table and table tennis. That's in a separate barn. We live here as well, so if you need anything or have a question, we're around.
Mawla itself is just a handful of houses. For a shop or a pub, you'll need to drive about a mile and a half. The coast is about the same. Portreath and Porthtowan are your closest beaches. Both are good for surfing, and you can hire gear there.
You can walk to the Cornish coast path from here. The Mineral Tramway trail runs right past the cottages too, which is good for cycling or a flat walk. If you don't have bikes, you can hire some locally.
Within half an hour you can get to St Ives. The coastal train from St Erth is a nice way to do it. Hayle has a long beach and those big sand dunes. Godrevy lighthouse is out there. For a big day out, Falmouth has the maritime museum and Pendennis Castle.
