This is Skylarks, in Porthtowan. It's one of two cottages on our smallholding. You look out over fields owned by the National Trust, straight down to the coast.
It sleeps five. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It's all on one level, which makes it straightforward. There's a wet room shower that's wheelchair accessible, with grab rails and a seat. The doorway is wide and there are no steps at the entrance.
You've got your own patio and garden. There's parking right outside and an electric vehicle charger. Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. Sorry, no pets.
The beach at Porthtowan is about a mile down the hill. It's a good surfing beach with sand dunes. There's a beach bar, a surf school, and a pub. There's a kids' play area too. Chapel Porth beach is even closer, and they do a good breakfast in the cafe there.
You're right on the Cornwall Coastal Path here. You can walk to St Agnes one way or Portreath the other. The views are massive. Tehiddy Country Park is nearby with woods and cycle trails. For a day out, St Ives is about half an hour's drive. Truro is a bit less than that. The Cornish Mining World Heritage sites are all around this area if that's of interest.
Portreath is a short drive. That's where the Coast to Coast cycle path starts. There's bike hire there if you need it.
