Skylarks is in Porthtowan, Cornwall. It's a bungalow on a smallholding, so there are some fields with animals around. You get a decent sized garden and patio to yourselves. The view is over National Trust land towards the sea.
It sleeps five in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom, which is a wet room on the ground floor. It has a 4 Star rating. The whole place is wheelchair accessible, with ramps, wide doors, and grab rails in the wet room.
The beach at Porthtowan is about a mile away. It’s a surf beach with sand dunes. There's a beach bar, a surf school, and a pub in the village. For a quieter cove, Chapel Porth is even closer. It has a good café. The South West Coast Path runs along the cliffs above.
There’s a kids' play area on site. The facilities list is accurate: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV, and an electric vehicle charger. Bedding and towels are included. You can borrow a cot and highchair. No pets, sorry.
For a day out, St Agnes is a nice walk east along the coast path. Portreath is to the west. You can hire bikes there for the Coast to Coast trail. The National Trust page for Chapel Porth has parking and tide information. Tehiddy Country Park is nearby for walks in the woods.
Truro is about half an hour's drive for proper shopping or the cathedral. St Ives, with the Tate gallery and the beaches, is also within half an hour, but the parking there is difficult.
