This is the Bull Pen. It's on our farm near Mount Hawke. We converted the old stone barn in 2019.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, all downstairs. The living room, kitchen and dining area are upstairs. That's the "reverse level" bit. It gives you better views from the main room. You can see the fields and, on a clear day, a bit of the coast.
The stairs are normal. The ceilings are high with some beams. Floors are wooden upstairs. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and everything works. It's clean and warm.
Outside there's a decked area with a table and chairs. You're welcome to walk around the farm tracks. We live on site, so if you need anything or have a question, just ask. We're usually about.
You can bring one dog. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, and wifi. All bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.
The village shop is about a three-quarter mile walk down the lane. The lane is unmade, so it's a bit bumpy. The closest pub with food is in St Agnes, about three miles.
St Agnes has a few shops, cafes, and pubs. It's a proper Cornish village. The coast path is excellent there. For beaches, you've got Porthtowan and Perranporth about a 10-15 minute drive. Both are good for surfing.
If you want a big day out, the National Trust has lots of places nearby like Trerice and the coast. The Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty site has walking maps. Truro, for bigger shops, is about a 25 minute drive.
