Porhellik
Porhellik is in Porthtowan valley, about a five minute walk from the beach. It's a semi-detached, modern house, built to be eco-friendly.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well equipped and comfortable. There's parking on the drive.
Outside, there's a terrace with a table if you want to eat outside. Inside, it's straightforward. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, wifi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them.
The house has a utility area with racks for drying wetsuits. There are loops on the wall outside to lock bikes to.
Porthtowan itself is a proper surf beach. The sand is golden but the Atlantic waves can be big. There's a bar right on the beach that does food and sometimes has live music. There are a couple of surf shops for hiring kit or getting lessons. The coastal path runs right past the village if you want to walk.
Just inland, there's Tehidy Country Park. It's good for a walk or a cycle if the wind's up on the coast. You can hire bikes near there.
St Ives is about a twenty minute drive along the coast road. It's got all the shops, galleries, and restaurants you'd expect. For other ideas, National Trust Cornwall and Visit Cornwall have good information.
