Mortreth is in Porthtowan. It's a modern end-of-row cottage about a five-minute walk from the beach. You're just off the main road but the village feels quiet.
It sleeps eight across three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which helps with a full house. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's spacious and clean, and everything works.
The main living area is open plan. You can open the patio doors onto a private balcony that looks out over the bay. It's a good spot in the evening. There's also a garden if you'd rather sit out there.
The beach is sandy and has rock pools. It's a Blue Flag beach, so the water quality is good. The coastal path runs right past it if you want a walk. The village has cafes and a pub if you don't want to cook.
For local walks, the Wheal Coates tin mine is up on the cliff. It's a National Trust site. You can walk from St Agnes to Portreath along the coast path, which takes a few hours. The Bissoe Trail is an old railway line good for bikes.
St Agnes village is about ten minutes by car. Truro is maybe twenty-five minutes. If you're driving, Newquay, St Ives, and Falmouth are all within about half an hour.
Facilities: there's parking for one car on the drive. Wifi, TV, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and high chair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
