Ash
This is Ash. It's one of a few cottages here on our farm, Mawla. We're out in the fields, about a mile and a half from the coast.
It's a three bedroom place, sleeps six, with one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. Everything's been done up.
You get your own patio and garden area. There's parking right outside. The washing machine is in the utility room. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
There's a shared games room on site with a pool table and table tennis, which is useful if the weather turns.
For the coast, Portreath and Porthtowan are the nearest beaches. They're about a ten minute drive. Both have sand and surf hire. The South West Coast Path is right there too.
Here on the farm, you're on the Mineral Tramway trail. It's good for walks or cycling straight from the door. You can hire bikes locally.
The closest shop and pub are in Illogan, about a mile and a half away. For a bigger town, Redruth is ten minutes by car. St Ives is twenty minutes if you go via the A30. You can get the scenic train from St Erth station, which is close by.
If you want to explore, National Trust Cornwall has all their local places mapped. Tehidy Country Park is good for a woodland walk. Falmouth, with the maritime museum and Pendennis Castle, is about half an hour's drive.
