Tramways is a modern cottage in our garden here in Lanner, near Redruth. It's detached, so you've got your own space. You come in through double doors straight into the main room. That's your living area and kitchen all together. It's got what you need: a TV, a washing machine, WiFi. The kitchen appliances are all fairly new.
Upstairs is the bedroom. It's a galleried space, so you go up a spiral staircase to get to it. It's open plan, with a kingsize bed and a TV. The stairs are metal and spiral, so they're not for everyone. You need to be steady on your feet.
Outside, there's a private courtyard garden with a table and a barbecue. There's also a summerhouse out the front you can use. Plenty of parking right outside.
The village is a five minute walk. There's a couple of pubs that do food, a shop, a post office. Redruth is about two miles away for bigger supermarkets and banks.
Location wise, it's good for getting around. You're on the A30 in a couple of minutes, so heading west to places like St Ives or Penzance is easy, usually under half an hour. The north coast beaches like Portreath or Porthtowan are about a fifteen minute drive. The south coast, around Falmouth, is maybe twenty five minutes.
This area is part of the Cornish mining world heritage site. There are old engine houses and walking trails right on the doorstep. If that interests you, the Cornish Mining World Heritage site has good information. For general days out, National Trust Cornwall lists all their local properties and coast.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's well equipped and comfortable. It sleeps two. No pets, sorry.
