The Farm House is ours, but it's a holiday let now. It's in Halwin, which is inland, about halfway between the north and south coasts of Cornwall. It's a detached stone farmhouse. You get the whole house and garden to yourselves. The garden's big, private, and has a patio area.
It sleeps twelve. Six bedrooms, four bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's a farmhouse, so the rooms are a decent size and it feels solid. There's a big dining table that's good for family meals.
You get all the usual stuff: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right there. We can take up to three dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. There's also a play area for kids on the farm.
Location wise, you're about a twenty-minute drive from either coast. The north coast around Portreath or Porthtowan is good for surfing and big beaches. The south coast, like the Helford River or Falmouth, is calmer, better for sailing and quieter coves.
The nearest shop is about a mile and a half away. The closest pub is just over a mile. Stithians Lake is a few minutes drive. You can do watersports or walk around there.
Falmouth is about half an hour away. It's got the National Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle. St Ives is roughly the same distance in the other direction.
