The Barn
The Barn is one of seven cottages here at Higher Trewithen, near Helston. It's a converted first-floor apartment, so you get to it by an outside staircase. It's part of an old farmstead, set in a few acres of land.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. The kitchen has what you need. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included.
You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed, which is handy for that. There's on-site parking. We've got a shared kids' play area and you can use the BBQ.
The location is quiet. You're in the countryside but it's not remote. Helston is about three miles away for shops and pubs. Falmouth is a 20-minute drive. The harbour there is good for a wander, and the National Maritime Museum is worth a look. The beaches at Gyllyngvase and Maenporth are that way too.
For a walk nearby, Stithians Reservoir has a five-mile loop around it. They do windsurfing and fishing there if that's your thing. The coast is about a 15-minute drive. Porthleven is close, or you can go further to the Lizard.
Truro is roughly 20 minutes by car if you want a cathedral or more shops. For gardens, Glendurgan and Trebah are both within half an hour.
