The Stable is in Hendra, about three miles from the main Truro to Falmouth road. It's part of a group of seven cottages on an old farmstead. We've got about four acres of shared gardens, fields and bits of woodland.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs. It's a barn conversion, so it's on two floors. The stairs are a fairly standard cottage staircase, so a bit steep.
It's a 3 Star place. That means it's clean, comfortable and everything works, but it's not a luxury finish. Good for a straightforward base. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a washing machine, bedding and towels are included, and you can park right outside. There's a shared kids' play area and a patio with a barbecue for your own bit of garden.
The nearest beach for a proper swim is probably Maenporth, which is about a fifteen minute drive. Falmouth is a bit closer, maybe twelve minutes by car. You've got the Maritime Museum there, the harbour, and Gyllyngvase beach.
Truro is in the other direction, about twenty minutes away. It's good if you need a big supermarket or want to see the cathedral. If you're walking, Kennall Vale nature reserve is just down the road. Stithians Lake is a few miles away; it's popular for windsurfing and has a circular walk around it.
For planning days out, the National Trust Cornwall site is useful, as is Visit Cornwall.
