The Weavers is one of seven cottages here at Higher Trewithen, near Hendra. It's a two-bedroom place, sleeps four. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. You get your own patio and garden bit, and there's a shared field and woods you can walk around. The whole site is trying to be eco-friendly, which mainly means the heating and hot water system.
It's a quiet spot. You're down a farm track, so it's properly rural. You'll hear birds, not traffic. The Wi-Fi works, but it's not super fast. There's a kids' play area in the shared garden, which is handy if you've got little ones.
Inside, it's straightforward. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower over the bath. There's a washing machine, TV, and they include the bedding and towels. You can bring up to two dogs. The stairs inside are fine, nothing too steep.
Location wise, you're about a 20-minute drive from the north coast beaches like Perranporth, and about the same to the south coast around Falmouth. For a local walk, Stithians Lake is about ten minutes away by car. It's got a five-mile loop around it and they do windsurfing and fishing. Truro is 15 minutes in the car for shops, the cathedral, and places to eat. Falmouth is 20 minutes for the maritime museum and the harbour.
If you're looking for things to do, the National Trust and Cornwall Council sites are good for walks and gardens. The Visit Cornwall site has event listings.
That's about it. It's a good base if you want to explore and don't mind driving to get to beaches and towns.
