Chalet 3 is on our site in Mount Hawke. It's one of eight chalets here. They're all single storey and spread out in about eight acres of woodland, so it feels quite private even though there are others around.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and a bathroom. The living space is open plan. It's a Three Star place, so it's comfortable and clean. We've kept it simple.
Because it's all on one level, the doorways are wide and there are no steps to the entrance. It's practical if you have mobility issues or just don't want stairs.
You've got your own patio area out the front. It's shaded by trees. The site is quiet, just the sound of the wind in the trees usually. There's parking right outside the chalet.
The village shop is a five minute walk. The pub, Mount Hawke Inn, is about 130 yards away. They do food. For a bigger shop, Truro is a twenty minute drive.
The coast is close. Porthtowan beach is about a ten minute drive. Good for surfing. Portreath is similar. Perranporth is a bit further, maybe twenty five minutes, but it's a huge sandy beach. St Agnes is a nice village for a wander, with cafes and a few shops.
Inside, there's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and a fitted kitchen with the basics. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
For planning trips, the National Trust has a lot of coastal places nearby. The Cornwall Council website has beach information.
