Sage Cottage
Sage Cottage is in Idless. That's about four miles from Truro, so you're inland, but not far. It's one of four cottages grouped around a courtyard.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious. The stairs are standard cottage stairs, so they turn a corner and are a bit steeper than modern ones. There's a stairgate at the top.
The living area is open plan. The owner is a painter, so there are some of their original artworks on the walls. It's nice. You get a small private lawn out the back, and there's a shared courtyard garden and lawn at the front with the other cottages. Parking is right there.
For facilities, there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, wifi, and bedding and towels are provided. You can bring one dog.
The location is good for getting around. You’re about a 20-minute drive from the north coast beaches like Perranporth, and about the same to the south coast, like the Fal estuary. Truro has all the main shops, the cathedral, and the Hall for Cornwall for shows. Falmouth and its harbour are 15 minutes away by car.
If you want a day out, the Eden Project is about 25 minutes away. For walks, the National Trust has several properties nearby, like Trelissick Garden, and the South West Coast Path is easily reached.
