Sage Cottage
Sage Cottage is in Idless, which is a couple of miles outside Truro. It's a courtyard cottage, so part of a small group, but you've got your own front door. The owner is an artist, so her paintings are on the walls. It's simple and clean.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which is accurate. It's comfortable but not luxury. The open plan living area downstairs does mean the kitchen is right there, so it's all quite compact.
You get a bit of lawn at the back, and there's a shared garden and lawn at the front. Parking is on site.
The location is the main thing. You're about ten minutes from the centre of Truro one way, and about fifteen minutes from the River Fal the other way. It means you can get to the north or south coast in under half an hour. The King Harry Ferry over to the Roseland Peninsula is close by.
For things to do, Truro has the cathedral, shops, and the Royal Cornwall Museum. Falmouth is twenty minutes down the road for the Maritime Museum, boat trips, and beaches. The Eden Project is about a twenty-five minute drive. For walks, you're right between the north and south coast paths.
Facilities wise: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a stairgate. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
If you're planning trips, the National Trust Cornwall site is useful, and so is South West Coast Path for walking.
