Towan Cottage
Towan Cottage is in Goonhavern. It’s a village on the A3075, about ten minutes from Perranporth and fifteen from Newquay. You’re not in the middle of nowhere, but you’re not in a town either. It’s a terrace house, one of a small row, with parking right outside.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles. They each have their own ensuite shower room, which is handy. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s a clean, comfortable place.
The garden is a shared, walled area at the back. There’s a shared swimming pool too, which is indoors. It’s not massive, but it’s a bonus, especially if the weather isn't great.
You can bring dogs, up to two. There’s a stairgate and a cot if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine and WiFi.
For the beach, Perranporth is the closest. It’s a big sandy beach, great for surf. You can walk the coast path from there. Newquay has more going on, more shops and restaurants and Fistral Beach.
Truro is about twenty minutes by car. That’s where you’ll find the cathedral, proper shops, and the station if you’re coming by train. The National Trust has a lot of coastal properties around here, like Trerice or the Holywell bay area, which are good for a walk.
It’s a straightforward spot, well-placed for the north coast. You’re near enough to things without being right in the middle of them.
