The Salt House

The Salt House is in Newquay, about a five minute walk from the town centre. It's a big Victorian terraced house that sleeps up to twelve people across six bedrooms, so it's good for families or groups. Three of the bedrooms have their own bathrooms, and there's another shower room on the first floor.

It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The stairs are standard for a house this age. There's an enclosed courtyard at the back with a table, chairs, and a barbecue. It gets the sun in the evening.

You're about a mile from Fistral Beach. To get to the coast path, you turn left out the door and walk for a few minutes. From there you can walk above Fistral or out towards the Pentire headland, overlooking Crantock. The views are very good.

There's a shop, a pub, and places to eat about 200 yards away. In town there are loads of cafes, restaurants, and takeaways. For bigger shops, there's a Morrisons about ten minutes away by car.

You can drive to Padstow in about half an hour, which has the usual harbour and Rick Stein restaurants. The Eden Project is about a forty minute drive. Truro is slightly less, maybe thirty-five minutes.

For facilities: there's parking for one car on the driveway. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate. The house is listed as having wheelchair accessible access at the entrance. You can bring up to two dogs.
