The Stables By The Sea is in Porth, just outside Newquay. It used to be a stable, it's detached, and it's set back in a quiet courtyard. The best bit is that Porth beach is about a fifty second walk away through the gate. It's a sandy beach, safe for swimming, and there's a good pub right on the sand.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well looked after and comfortable. Everything's included, like bedding and towels.
There's a private roof terrace with a table and a BBQ. You get one parking space. Inside, it's open plan downstairs with the kitchen and living area. It has a dishwasher and a washing machine, which is handy with beach towels.
The place is part of a pair with the cottage next door, called Driftwood. You can book them together if you're a bigger group. They're separate, just next to each other.
For getting about, you can walk into Newquay town centre along the coastal path. It takes about twenty-five minutes. Or it's a two minute drive. Newquay has the main shops, a cinema, and all the surf spots. The beach here at Porth is much quieter.
If you want to explore, Padstow is about a twenty-five minute drive. The Camel Trail for cycling is there. Truro is about half an hour away. The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are both within a thirty minute drive.
