Above Towan At 8 Quay Court
This is Above Towan at 8 Quay Court in Newquay. It's an apartment on the top floor, so you get the views. You can see the sea from the main living area and the roof terrace.
It sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, which helps with morning queues. One of those is a shower room by the front door, useful for sandy feet. The master bedroom has its own ensuite.
The living space is open plan. Kitchen, dining, and sitting area all together. It leads out onto a balcony. Upstairs from that is a private roof terrace, which gets the sun. You can store surfboards or wetsuits in a locker on the ground floor. There are some bodyboards and beach toys there you can use.
It's in a good spot. You're up above the harbour, so it's a bit quieter, but you're only a few minutes' walk down into the town centre for shops and places to eat. Towan Beach is right there. Fistral Beach, for the surf, is about a 15 minute walk.
For facilities, it's got the things you'd expect: dishwasher, WiFi, parking. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well kept. You can bring up to two dogs.
If you're planning trips out, the National Trust for Cornwall has good information on nearby houses and coast paths. The Visit Cornwall site is useful for general ideas. Padstow is about half an hour's drive away.
